Ladies Night at Woodward Tahoe

Why on earth would I be going to Boreal with my bike in the middle of winter? At an elevation of over 7,000ft theres about 3 feet of snow lining the road, a slick sheet of ice coating the parking lot and its freezing cold! I walk slowly towards the bright lights... shining on on the Woodward Tahoe sign! It's ladies night, which happens every Sunday from 5pm – 8pm. Organized by Monica (who is super warm and welcoming), snowsports athletes, skaters, and bmx ladies have been meeting up on Sunday nights way up high in the Sierras to train, play and progress together. I was impressed with the turnout; atleast 3 girls were shredding the skate park, lots of ladies on the trampoline, and about five of us going through the rigors of a conditioning workout. When's the last time you did mountain climbers? Those things kicked my butt! Good news is Monica will be leading these conditioning workouts through the month of January at Ladies Night.

What I was most excited about (besides all of the awesome women that showed up) was the big foam pit, with many different roll ins, take offs, and even an option for a practice landing. There's even a wall ride and pumptrack to play on. All you ladies out there that want to get more comfortable in the air and learn tricks... well I this is the place and now is the time. Have you been looking for some like minded kick-ass female athletes to train with and progress with? They are here waiting, and they are all friendly and fun-loving. So get your bum to Woodward Tahoe Ladies Night!!!

I'll be back up next weekend and I would love for you to join me. Please keep in mind you will be responsible for taking care of your Woodward membership ($50/year), taking care of your basic training (included with membership and is required for safety), and your drop-in fee ($25). Its a little $$$ the first time but will be well worth it.
